What we do

Our scope of practice includes supporting teachers with individual students, groups of students, whole classes or school systems work.  We believe in a team approach, and have process that we work through to provide support.

A share of our work is around individual students, our scope of practice also includes:

  • professional development for teachers and teacher aides

  • supporting student transitions

  • working with clusters of schools

  • Bilingual assessments 

  • supporting secondary schools to establish systems to identify and make applications for mokopuna likely to benefit from Special Assessment Conditions (SAC)

  • Positive Behaviour for Learning ( Incredible Years Teacher)

  • supporting mokopuna attending Alternative Education (AE).

  • Support ORS applications

  • collaborate with other specialist Ministry of Education services
